​​TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a simple yet powerful way to help your body let go of stress and restore balance.

Developed by Dr. David Berceli, TRE® consists of seven easy-to-learn exercises that gently activate a natural reflex of shaking or vibrating in the body. This reflex is something all mammals share: after a stressful event, animals tremble to release excess energy and reset their nervous system. Watch the example of a dog shaking here

How it Works

By allowing this natural trembling response, the body can discharge tension stored in the muscles and nervous system.

What to Expect in a Session

TRE are 7 simple to learn exercises that help lightly fatigue the leg muscles. This helps the body enter its natural shaking state. Tremors usually last 10–15 minutes and can be stopped at any time  Afterward, you’ll rest briefly before continuing with your day.

Once learned, just 15 minutes of practice a few times a week is enough to experience benefits.
